Julian Paul Codina Obituary

Julian Paul "Butch" Codina, dearly beloved husband, age 73, a native of New Orleans LA, former resident of Lafayette LA, and a resident of Picayune, MS since 1992, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021. He is survived by the love of his life his wife of 48 years Caron Lynn Flautt Codina; siblings Carmen Codina Rieger, Melissa Codina Ferguson, Christopher Codina and wife Susan, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; Mark and Maureen Umbehagen, and a host of other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Julian Oscar Paul Codina and Delores Mary Anglada Codina, and brother Bruce Alan Codina. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church 1000 Goodyear Blvd, Picayune, MS on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 11:00AM. You are also invited to a graveside memorial service at the Flautt family tomb in Lake Lawn Metairie Cemetery 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 10:00AM, followed by interment in the tomb (see map). Please visit Picayunefuneral.com to view and sign the Guestbook or if you wish to post a thoughtful message. In this way you can still be with the family in thought by signing the online guest book, expressing your condolences or sharing memories about the deceased. I would love for our family and friends to share their memories and photos of Julian from years ago. He had a zest for life and was a real character who enjoyed being the center of attention. He is deeply missed and will be much remembered.

I have had enough of illness and death, so live plants, starts or cuttings are preferred in lieu of flowers that die so I can carry out one of his wishes and you can be part of it. Our address is 1420 South Beech Street, Picayune, MS 39466.

If you will attend one or both Catholic ceremonies, please indicate in your Guestbook message so we can plan COVID seating.
