It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmie E. Wood of Picayune, Mississippi, who passed away on September 25, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Wood and Roberta Wood; and his siblings, William Wood, Billy Steve Wood, Mary Wheat, Francis Parker and Lizzy Powe.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Stephanie, Shana, Mark Jr., Beth and Rachel; his wife Theresa Mitchell Wood; his children, Mark Wood (Virginia), Matthew Wood (Christy), Angela Wood, Tracy McDonald (Josh), Raymond Wood (Ashley) and Daymond Wood (Robin); and his siblings, Alberta Plaissance, Myrtle Parker, Lillie Burton, Lottie Parker, Carolyn Smith, Nancy Cook, Lou Stuart (David) and Eugene Wood.
