He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Darby and Velma Thibodeaux Darby; his stepdaughter Virginia Kampsen; and his siblings, Allen Darby (Patricia Minville Darby), Morris Darby, Irene Darby Beaugh and Edna Darby Holliman (Dane).
He is survived by: his wife Angeline Darby; his daughter Karen Philips (Russell); his stepchildren, Sheila Meza (Darryl) and Joseph Scallan (Tracy); and his brother-in-law Jean Beaugh. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Picayune Funeral Home (815 S Haugh Ave, Picayune, MS 39466). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (1000 Goodyear Blvd, Picayune, MS 39466).
