She was predeceased by: her husband Leon Henry Herkes; her parents, John Rider and Ozelia Oliver Rocco; her son Leon Henry Herkes Jr.; and her siblings, John Baptist Rider, Anna Rider and Evelyn Rider Staley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Anna H. Bordelon and Cheryl H. Caro (Doug). She is also survived by her five grandsons, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
