He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie Jean Mitchell Davis; his parents, Dave Davis, Sr. and Ruth E. Wood Davis; and his siblings, George Davis, Marthy Dawsey and Anne Marie Dawsey.

He is survived by: his daughters, Carolyn Mayo of Florida, Patricia Frierson of Carriere, Brenda Gandy of Florida and Linda Crowe of Pearl River, Louisiana; and his sister Estell Watkins of Louisiana. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and fifteen great-great grandchildren.
