She was predeceased by: her parents, Eli Frierson and Maggie Woods Frierson; her husband Elmer Penton; and her daughter Geralene Hilburn. She is survived by: her daughter Sandra Fretwell.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home (401 W Canal St, Picayune, MS 39466). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel (401 W Canal St, Picayune, MS 39466). A graveside service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the New Palestine Cemetery (2336 Palestine Rd, Picayune, MS 39466).
