He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Waldrop and Gladys Waldrop; his former wife Rose Waldrop; and his siblings, Ralph Waldrop, J. L. Waldrop, Vernon Waldrop, John Waldrop, Dorothy Jeane Duplessis, Mary Tuttle and Christine Suro.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Waldrop; his children, Bennie L. Waldrop Jr. (Lori), Peggy Waldrop Shearer (Edward) and James Waldrop (Amanda); his granddaughter Danielle Shearer Hodges (Quincy "PJ" Hodges IV); and his sisters, Elizabeth Ard and Alaine Crain. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
