He is survived by: his wife Lora Powell; his children, Marie Powell, Miranda Powell, Jennifer Scheaffer, Henry Busby, Wes Woods and Wade Woods; and his siblings, Lavonia Byars, Brendi Baker, Harvey B. Byars and Hiram Davis. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren.
