She was predeceased by: her husband Garland Deweese; her parents, Orman Cox and Hilda Cox; and her siblings, Shirley Weatherford, Carolyn Chapman, Cliff and Robert Cox.
She is survived by: her son Robert Cox Deweese (Sherry) of Eupora; her grandchildren, Stacey Fiser of Oxford, Brent Deweese of Starkville and Michael Chandler of Mantee; and her sisters, Mary Ann Cobb of Wiggins and Sue Posey of Richton. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
