He was predeceased by: his son James Bailey Cox; his parents, Les Cox and Thomas Cox; and his sister Katherine Tingle. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Webb Cox of Philadelphia; his children, Terri McCarver (Tommy) of Brandon, Carla Martin (Ike) of Philadelphia and Dr. Tommy Cox (LeeAnne) of Lake Cormorant, MS; his grandchildren, Dr. Kayla Bryant (Stephen), Allison Long (Ben), Bailey Anderson (Austin), Meagan Anthony (Brent), Macy Rhodes (Tanner), Isaac Martin, Marshall Cox (Gina) and John Bailey Cox; his great grandchildren, William, Margaret Bryant, Randall Wallace, Ross Long and Wynn Anthony; his siblings-in-law, George Herman Cumberland, Ann Webb and Carol Webb; and his grandsons, Brent Anthony, Tanner Rhodes, Stephen Bryant, Dr. Ben Long and Austin Anderson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
