He is survived by: his wife Sandra Purnell; his children, Ronald Stephen Purnell, Jr. (Tina) of Columbia, MS, Karla Brune (Glenn) of Ocean Springs, MS and Andy Thompson of Escatawpa, MS; his grandchildren, Jonathan Goff and Ramsey Pittman; and his brother Jimmy Purnell of DeKalb, MS. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
