He was predeceased by: his parents, Wheeler Smith and Delia Smith; his son Michael "Mikey" Smith; his great grandchild Jagger Brewer; and his siblings, Mary Elizabeth Branning, J. C. Smith and Wheeler Edd Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Eva Jean; his children, Dwight Smith (Jan) of Philadelphia, MS, Debbie Jolly (Eddie) of Philadelphia, MS and Melody Jones of Meridian, MS; and his grandchildren, Brooke Clay (Craig), Lindsey Goforth (Dusty), Tracy Blocker (Harold), Evie Pullin (Edward), Spencer Harvey, Hunter Smith (Gillian), Michael Smith and Layla Brewer. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews.
