With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nell Phillips of Philadelphia, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 27, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Herrin and Bradis Stennett Herrin of Covington County; her son Brent Herrin "Taco" Phillips of Philadelphia, MS; and her brother-in-law Arlis Hinson of Anderson, SC.. She is survived by: her husband Andrew Frank Phillips; her daughter Andrea; her son-in-law Timothy Chesney; her granddaughter Skylar of Brandon, MS; and her siblings, Georgia Hinson of Anderson, SC and Herman Herrin (Sharon) of Hattiesburg, MS. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the McClain-Hays Funeral Service (1002 E Main St, Philadelphia, MS 39350). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 4:45 PM at the same location.
