With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Waudine Akins of Philadelphia, Mississippi, who passed away on April 23, 2021 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Elmer Crawley Akins; her parents, William Frank Posey and Mabel Pearl Posey; and her siblings, Audine Posey and Lomer Hays Posey.
She is survived by: her children, Norma Byrd (Ben), Debbie Steed (Ricky) and Dwight Akins (Faye); her grandchildren, Memory Bell, Teddy Martin, Andy Stewart and Chris Stewart; and her great grandchildren, Zach Stewart, Zoey Bell, Marley Bell and Wrenlee Bell.
In lieu of flowers family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
