She was predeceased by: her parents, Josephine Spears and Walter Eugene Phillips; her siblings, Lena Flemming, Earline Ward, Millie Hughes, Bonnie Jean Moore, Richard Phillips and Jerry Phillips; and her pet Zoey.
She is survived by: her husband Ferron R Oaks; her son Griffis Jr.; and her granddaughter Anne M Griffis (Nicholas) of San Antonio.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McClain-Hays Funeral Service (1002 E Main St, Philadelphia, MS 39350). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers family requests all memorials be made to your local Animal Shelter in her honor.
