He was loved and cherished by many people including: his sons, Jason Ryals (Anna) of Olive Branch and Kevin Ryals (Carrie) of Philadelphia; his grandchildren, Ayla, Cooper Ryals, Brittany Woods and Abby Woods; his great grandchild Avery Pierce; his parents, Homer Ryals and Cressie Ryals Atkinson; and his siblings, Barbara Lewis and Mike Ryals. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews.
