He was predeceased by: his son J. T. Bass; his parents, Luther Ellingburg and Pearlie Ellingburg; and his siblings, Louise Cumberland and Leslie Ellingburg.
He is survived by: his wife Marsha Ellingburg of Philadelphia; his children, Belinda Long (Joey) of Philadelphia, Shannon Statler Taylor (Brian) of Conehatta and Robert Aaron Bass of Philadelphia; and his siblings, Gertrude Herrington of Philadelphia, Lena Pearl Davis (Cecil) of Edinburg, Marie Pilgrim of Carthage, Catherine Adkins of Philadelphia, Charles Ellingburg (Hazel) of Philadelphia, David Ellingburg (Betty) of Carthage and Glen Ellingburg of Meridian. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
