He was loved and cherished by many people including: his friend Godliness; his wife Glenda Townsend; his daughter Kasey Byrd (Chris Byrd); his grandchildren, Jonathan Townsend (Jessica), Rein Townsend (Brittany), Amber Pinter (Senett), Audreyanna Grainger (Joseph), Maddie Reynolds, Bella Reynolds, Madolyn Byrd, Joe Frank Byrd, Cody Byrd, Sadie Ann Byrd and Mercy Grace Byrd; his great grandchildren, Sadiebeth Grainger, Ava Townsend, Anniston Townsend, Jessie-Lee Townsend, Timothy Pinter, Liam Grainger and Lawson Grainger; his sisters-in-law, Terri Garnett and Joan Johnson (Steve); his parents, Thomas Townsend and Thermer Lee Townsend; his son Tim Townsend; his siblings, Frances Daniels, Charlotte Fleming and Bill Townsend; his son-in-law Steve Moore; and his brothers-in-law, Cecil Fleming, Norris Daniels and Charles Garnett.
