He was predeceased by: his son Jess Michael Walters; his parents, Tom Walters and Velma Walters; and his siblings, Hattie Young, Willie Pierce, Frances Pair, Jimmie Harris, Julia Faye Walters, Sue Smith, Ruth Sharp, James R. Walters and Bobby G. Walters.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Walters; his daughters, Valerie Hardy (Tony), Jackie Rozier (Dave) and Tina Denise Walters; his grandchildren, Jess Hardy, Tyler Hardy, David Rozier III and Stephanie Rozier; and his great grandchildren, Caroline Jess Hardy, Charleigh Jane Hardy, Miriam Azlee Hardy, Jack Hardy and Ava Lynn Rozier. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
