He was predeceased by: his daughter Brenda Gail Butler; his grandchild Marty Jon Butler; and his siblings, Connie McGahee, Sarah Gray, Willie, James and Wesley Copeland.
He is survived by: his wife Jacquita Copeland; and his children, Amelia Jo Thomas (John) of Toomsuba, MS, Kathy Moore (Harold) of Philadelphia, MS and Randall Copeland (Kimberly) of Philadelphia, MS. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren.
