He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Wanda Matthews of Philadelphia; his children, Belinda Brown (Neil) of Springfield, MO, Karen Matthews of Lee's Summit, MO, Richard Matthews (Sandra) of Philadelphia and Mike Williamson (Crystal) of Philadelphia; his parents, Robert Matthews and Ola Matthews; and his siblings, Selma Matthews, Thelma Matthews, Ruth Matthews, Mayzell Jones, Betrude Sistrunk, Arvis Matthews, Teasley Matthews and R. B. Matthews. He was also cherished by eleven grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
