George Saxon Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Saxon (Philadelphia, Mississippi), who passed away on July 19, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Saxon and Lula Pettus Saxon; and his son Bruce. He is survived by: his wife Sue Hardy Saxon; his son Mark Saxon (Debbie); his daughter-in-law Carlee Saxon; his grandsons, John Saxon (Katie) and Brian Saxon (Anna Clare); and his great grandchildren, George F. Saxon, Warner Saxon, Graham Saxon and Ivy Saxon. He is also survived by several brother and sisters-in-law; and many nephews and nieces.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be a private family service.
The family suggests memorials be made to First Baptist Church, 414 Pecan Avenue, Philadelphia, MS 39350 or to Hamasa Shrine transportation fund, 5516 Dale Dr., Marion, MS 39342.
