He was predeceased by: his wife Johnnie Breland Watkins; his son Don Mitchell Watkins (late Tammy); his parents, Bernice Watkins and Tommie Gene Watkins; his sister Eloyease Lybrand; his uncle Thurman; and his aunt Polly Rice.
He is survived by: his sons, Terry Watkins (Rhonda) and Carey Watkins (Ann). He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
