He was predeceased by: his father Vester Irons; and his stepfather John Holley. He is survived by: his wife Betty Irons of Philadelphia; his children, Jenny Irons (George Hobor) of Maplewood, NJ, Dan Irons (Karen) of Westerville, OH and Mary Margaret Massey (Will) of Louisville, MS; his grandchildren, Addy, Lillian, Kate and Savannah; his mother Bobbie Holley of Philadelphia; and his sister Kay Duett (Stuart). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center of Houston, St Jude Children's Hospital or the charity of your choice.
