He is survived by: his wife Ruth Withers Eakes; his son Arthur Chester "Chet" Eakes (Heidi); his stepson Andrew Joseph Givens, Jr. (Jody); his adoptive daughter Ashley Renee Barrier (Ike); his grandchildren, Courtney Mechelle Eakes, Ryan Clayton Eakes, Tyler Matthew Eakes and Reagan Miles; his stepgrandchildren, Amanda Brake (Brandon), Andrew Joseph Givens III, Bethany Redash (James), Michael Bematre, Brianna Goins (John) and Marissa Huthsteiner (David); and his sister Mary Posey. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
