Amba Eloise Stokes Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Amba Eloise Stokes (Philadelphia, Mississippi), who passed away on December 26, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis J. Rea and Mattie Reed Rea; and her husband Harold Stokes. She is survived by: her children, Harold Daniel Stokes (Betty), Amba Ogletree (Buddy) and Stacey Lynn Stokes; her grandchildren, Chad Stokes (Debra), Jami Thornton (Chad), Danielle Lynch (Logan), Elizabeth Sprick (Matthew), Cameron Ogletree and Murphy Ogletree (Makenzie); and her great grandchildren, Olivia Claire Lamar (Giles), Sydney Noel Stokes, Megan Elise Stokes, Sophie Caroline Risher, Carson Wyatt Lynch, Juliet Rea Lynch, Sara Isabel Sprick, Anna Rose Sprick and Junia Eden Sprick.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (414 Pecan Ave, Philadelphia, MS 39350). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
