He is survived by: his children, Carol Pettigrew (Neil) of Philadelphia and Steve Johnson (Peggy) of DeKalb; his grandchildren, Jesse, Luke Pettigrew and Jessica Kendrick; and his siblings, Bettie Cook of Philadelphia, Sue Powell of Pelahatchie, Sandra Warren of DeKalb, Jimmy "Jim" Johnson of Philadelphia and Billy Wayne Johnson of Philadelphia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
