He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Mooney and Mary Allen Mooney; his son David Mooney; and his siblings, Sonny Mooney and Betty Jo Dossett.
He is survived by: his wife Lavonne Mooney; his children, Michael Mooney (Bobbie) and Rebecca Johnston (Michael Todd); his grandchildren, T. J. Mooney, Jade Suggs, Micah Sigrest, Nicholas Mooney, Jared Mooney and Alyssa Johnston; and his siblings, Leslie Mooney (Linda), Judith Shepherd and Joyce Poyadou. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
