He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Amacker and Mable Anderson; his stepfather Douglas Anderson; and his sons, Joshua Amacker and Jason Amacker.

He is survived by: his wife Libby Amacker; his children, Jessica Amacker and Chris Amacker (Cecily); and his granddaughter Racelyn Paige. He is also survived by four sisters and one brother.
