It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia M. Fairchild (Petal, Mississippi), born in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on May 10, 2018, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Stevenson Walker and Beulah Mae Walker Hopper; her husband Hartley Fairchild; and her stepchildren, Hartley Pelda Fairchild and Cheryl Breland.
She is survived by: her daughters, Diana Harvison (Sonny) of Petal, Dottie Carter of Fairhope, AL. and Terri Smith of Petal; her stepson Joe Fairchild (JoNell) of Hattiesburg; and her sister Joyce Doleac of Gulfport. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, eighteen great- grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
