With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roy Lavon Brown of Petal, Mississippi, who passed away on September 17, 2023 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Brown and Ethel Brown; his sons, James Roy Brown and Eddie Turner; and his siblings, Red Brown, Jackie Brown, Helen Jean, Aretha Baker and Jeanette.

He is survived by: his wife Edith Wynelle Buse Brown; and his daughters, Reba Hatten (Ernie) and Sherrye Moody. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
