He was predeceased by: his wife Bertha Russell; his parents, John Russell and Valley Russell; and his siblings, Margaret Dossett, Hazel Hollingsworth, Randall Russell, Charles Russell and James Russell.
He is survived by: his children, Janice Owens of Petal and John Russell (Rhonda) of Pascagoula; and his grandchildren, Jason Anderson, Crystal Rutland (Daniel), Mandy Henderson (Paul), Nathan Russell (Erica) and Gabriel Thomas. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
