He was predeceased by: his daughter Helen E. "Binky" Sanders; his parents, Joe Sanders and Jewel Sanders; and his siblings, Jerry E. Sanders and Annie Leona Ward.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth J. Sanders of Petal, MS; his daughters, Sherrye Y. Sims (Steve) of Petal, MS and Marjorie J. Sanders of Petal, MS; his sister Annie J. Skerritt of Beltona, FL; his aunts, Martha Rose Hilton of Shalimar, FL and Ethel J. Fairley of Wiggins, MS; his grandchildren, Richard E. Jones and Corrie B. Sanders; and his great grandchildren, Skyler H. Sanders of Petal, MS and Nolan W. Martin of Petal, MS. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
