He was predeceased by: his father James "Mickey" Carter, Sr.. He is survived by: his children, Jacqlyn Carter, Sommer White (Shane), Timothy McCraw of Lafayette and Dakota McCraw of Alvin, Tex.; his mother Artemis "Billie" Carter of Hattiesburg; and his siblings, Don Garner of New Augusta, Alvis Garner of New Augusta, Carl Garner of Petal, James Carter, Jr. of Utica, Miss., Abberly Connerly of Utica and Irene Carter of Ocean Springs. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
