He was predeceased by: his wife Opal Farris; his parents, Elijah Farris and Viola Farris; his son Mike Farris; and his granddaughter Karen Farris.
He is survived by: his sons, Ricky Farris (Nancy) of Petal, MS and Bobby Farris (Peggy) of Hattiesburg, MS. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
