He is survived by: his siblings, Eva Tate (Paul) of Petal, Ann Posey (Larry) of Petal, Matthew Pates of Biloxi, James Pates, Jr. of Hattiesburg and Ricky Pates of New Orleans; and his nieces, Mandy Stewart (Chesley) of Petal and Stephanie Dearman (Drew) of Petal. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
