With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Evanglist Rhodes of Petal, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 18, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie James and Evelena Rhodes. He is survived by: his wife Lartha Rhodes of New Hebron, MS; his children, Evander Rhodes of New Hebron, MS, Mitchell Rhodes of New Hebron, MS, James Rhodes of Petal, MS and Lakesia Cunningham of New Hebron, MS; and his siblings, Mirrett Rhodes of Hattiesburg, MS, Michael Rhodes of New Hebron, MS, Richard Rhodes of San Antonio, TX, Edell Feazell of New Hebron, MS, Evelyn McDuffey of New Hebron, MS, Debbie Jasper of New Hebron, MS and Queen Esther Pittman of New Hebron, MS. He is also survived by grandchildren: 9; great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the North Pleasant Hill Baptist Church (495 N Pleasant Hill Rd, New Hebron, MS 39140).
