She is survived by: her husband Jay Elder; her grandson Thomas Smith; her daughters, Joy Smith (Carey) of Petal, MS and Melody Everett (Steve) of Collins, MS; her sister Gladys Cartlidge of Florida; and her grandchildren, Melody White, Joseph Smith, Joshua Smith, Samuel Smith, Jenna Jones and Katie Dyess.
