We are sad to announce that on February 7, 2024, at the age of 83, Claude Alton Jenkins of Petal, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Jenkins and Emma Lee Jenkins; his grandson Dalton Bassett; and his brothers, Tommy Jenkins and James Jenkins.
He is survived by: his wife Lucretia "Sug" Jenkins of Petal; his children, James Leroy Jenkins (Lisa) of Denham, LA, Claude Lee Jenkins (Jenise) of Tuscaloosa, AL, Austin Edward "Eddie" Jenkins (Angela) of Laurel and Cynthia "Cindy" Bassett (David) of Petal; his grandchildren, Taylor Jenkins, Lexi Jenkins, Jessica Vick (Hunter), Tristen Jenkins, Ashton Jenkins, Landon Jenkins, Ansley Jenkins, Austin Jenkins, Brayleigh Jenkins, Britny Parten (Caleb) and Dyana Newsome (Jakorian); and his pet Gizmo. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Carterville Baptist Church or to the Gideons International.
