He was predeceased by: his parents, James B. Stewart and Elsie Stewart; and his sister Patricia Bardwell. He is survived by: his wife Debra Palmer Stewart of Petal; his daughters, Brandy Stewart Forrester (Jack) of Hurley, MS and Robin Stewart Breazeale (J. L.) of Brandon, MS; his grandchildren, Gracie Breazeale and Bryce Forrester; and his siblings, Jimmy Stewart (Peggy) of Hattiesburg, Victor Stewart (Donna) of Hattiesburg and Lillie Bounds of Hattiesburg.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the 19th Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund.
