We are sad to announce that on October 27, 2021, at the age of 74, Carolyn Janette Buckalew Mercer of Petal, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband E. D. "Sonny" Mercer III; her parents, J. D. Buckalew and Martha Buckalew; her brother Danny Buckalew; and her aunt Ethel Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Neal Mercer of Hattiesburg, Nathan Mercer of Magee and Ashley Quinn of Homosassa, FL; her grandchildren, Carson Quinn, J. T. Quinn and Brenley Quinn; and her sisters-in-law, Ginger Buckalew, Sandy Bass and Tay Cotton. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southern Pines Animal Shelter; Hub City Humane Society; New Hope Animal Rescue.
