He was predeceased by: his wife Vera Johnston; his parents, Robert Johnston and Clara Johnston; and his siblings, Bernard Johnston, Lamar Johnston and Hilda Vail.
He is survived by: his children, Carla Johnston of Petal, Jeana Callahan (Steven) of Petal, Carl Johnston, Jr. (Pam) of Petal, Lynda Carol Hartfield (Tony) of Oak Grove, David Johnston (DeLana) of Petal and Brian Johnston of Lovettsville, VA; his grandchildren, Jessica Wallace, Nicholas Callahan, Bethany Miller, Breanna Klem, Joshua Jones, Shawn Johnston, Hannah Johnston-Cummings and Baylen Johnston; and his brother Earl Johnston of Denham Springs, LA.. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
