He was predeceased by: his wife Lorene Sumrall Lewis; and his sister Maurice Tilghman. He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Lewis Tilghman (Donnie) of Hattiesburg, Margaret Lewis Padgett (Dewayne) of Cohutta and Patricia Lewis Grantham (Pat); his siblings, Carol Brock of Lux, MS, Mary Katherine Lee of Brandon, MS, Valerie "Pete" Moore of Pearl, MS and James "Jay" Lewis of Petal, MS; and his friend Dorothy Donavan of Collins, MS. He is also survived by five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
