He was predeceased by: his wife Linda N Blackmon; his parents, Rubye Louise Brassfield Blackmon and Carlos Ester Blackmon; and his sisters, Ester Ann Blackmon Bolls and Carla Louise Blackmon Weeks.
He is survived by: his children, BJ Blackmon (Melissa) of Jonesboro, AR, Sonya Loveless of Wynne, AR, James Blackmon (Jennifer) of Petal, MS, Paula Ulmer (Mark) of Petal, MS, Michael Davis (Tracy) of Gansevoort, NY and Marian Walker (Jason) of Petal, MS; and his brother Bill Blackmon Columbus (Bettye). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
