He was predeceased by: his parents, George Ervin and Dora Ervin; and his siblings, Charles Ervin, Lex Ervin, Mary Helen Kelly, Larry Ervin and Medford Ervin.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Walton Ervin; his children, Billy Ervin, Jr. (Jan) of Petal and Dianne Schoenbachler (Joe) of Newland, N. C.; his grandchildren, Rebecca Sullivan (Michael), B. J. Ervin (Kelly), Luke Ervin (Sarah), Jamie Matta (Joe) and Nicholas Schoenbachler (Morgan); and his great grandchildren, Dane, Piper, Adleigh, Annalynn, Elyse, Caroline, Grayson, Hadley, Dawson, Hart and Eli.
