She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Everett and Annie Jewel Pulliam Sanders; and her brother Jerry E. Sanders of North Carolina. She is survived by: her sons, Joe L. Ward, Jr. of Nashville, TN and Roy Allen Ward of Nashville, TN; and her brother Major John Sanders of Petal, MS. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
