She was predeceased by: her parents, James Edward Pates, Sr. and Annette Gehrmann Pates; her brothers, Gary Curtis Pates, Robert Earl Pates and Donald Langston Pates; and her parents-in-law, Albert Randell Posey and Ruth Bernice Posey.
She is survived by: her husband Larry Posey of Petal; her children, Allen Dale King, Jr. (Tammy) of Petal, Michael A. King (Donna) of Sumrall, Steven Lyle Posey (Crystal) of Hattiesburg, Angela R. Martin (Shannon) of Petal and Sarah McRaney of New Augusta; and her siblings, James Edward Pates, Jr. (Kay) of Hattiesburg, Eva Marie Tate (Paul) of Petal, Matthew Wayne Pates (Vera) of Biloxi and Ricky Lee Pates of New Orleans. She is also survived by six grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home (789 MS-42, Petal, MS 39465). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Service - Petal (789 E Central Ave, Petal, MS 39465).
