He is survived by: his wife Sarah Nix of Perkinston, MS; his son Leroy Nix Jr.; his adoptive son Carl Steele; his daughter Kennedy Nix; his grandchildren, Taylor Nix, Kenny Joseph, Quartez Brown, Leroy Nix III and Tyler Nix; his great grandchildren, Chakena Joseph, Kyriana Brown and May; his aunts, Doris Johnson of Gary, Clara Nix of Perkinston and Annie Lee Moody of Hattiesburg; his children, Angel Nix, Alexis Nix, Bernadette Thompson, Bridgette McCreary, Brian Ramsey, Robert Ramsey Stephanie Lee, Belinda Nix, Rochelle Nix, Denise Nix and Roy Nix; and his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Pope (Earnest), Cora Blair (Chester) and Mary Nix. He is also survived by sister/sister-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
