He was predeceased by: his siblings, Dorothy, Mary-Alice, JT, Charlie, Ligie and Paul Jr. Phillips; and also, Jeffie Phillips and Martha Slater Philips.
He is survived by: his wife Margarita Phillips; his children, Johnnie Jr., Jacquelyn Phillips, Loretta, Ken Pasley, Agnes, Gary Travis, Martha, Lester Hagerdon and Teresa Phillips; his grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jacobs Phillips, Brandy Williams, Keith, Brett Travis, Gerald Burnett, Christopher and Kevin Hagerdon; his great grandchildren, Alovra Godwin, Jada, Brody Tenore, Savannah Williams, Corey, Skylar, Brittney, Haley, Sydney Hagerdon, Taryn, Michael, Daelyn and Katie Burnett; and his pet Buster Phillips.
