It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Iris Kirkland Brock of Perkinston, Mississippi, who passed away on June 24, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas C. Brock; her sons, Howard Kirkland and Arthur Kirkland; her parents, Robert Smith and Myrtle Smith (Breland); her grandson Johnathan Kirkland; her siblings, Bobbie Gene Smith, Ansel Smith, Kenneth Smith and Thurman Smith; and her son-in-law Doug Compton.
She is survived by: her children, Annette Compton of Salisbury, NC, Ellen Stockman (Riley) of Saucier, Wayne Kirkland (Donna) of Wiggins, Albert Kirkland (Kathy) of Perkinston and Johnny Kirkland (Rosie) of Perkinston; her daughters-in-law, Benji Kirkland and Stephanie Kirkland; and her sister-in-law Janie Smith of Perkinston. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren.
